(CBS Detroit) – Second suspect charged in Florida Man kidnapped at Lifetime Health Middle in Shelby Township in October.
Angel Pantoja, 22, of Tampa, Florida, was arrested and charged with carjacking, conspiracy to commit carjacking, armed theft, conspiracy to commit armed theft, torture, false imprisonment, conspiracy Conspiracy to commit illegal imprisonment and first-degree legal conspiracy. A housebreaking was reported in reference to the incident.
The incident occurred at 7:15 pm on October 23 on the Lifetime Health location situated at 14843 Lake Shore Drive.
A 24-year-old man was kidnapped by a number of armed and masked males in a gymnasium parking zone. A suspect was arrested later that day.
The Shelby Township Police Detective Bureau has been investigating the incident for the previous a number of months and in the end recognized the second suspect, Pantoja.
Pantoja was taken into custody with the assistance of the Tampa Bay Police Division, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Workplace and the ATF Process Power.
He was arraigned on Tuesday, Jan. 9 and issued a $3 million cash-only/no 10% bond.
